2021 Château Lagrange Les Fiefs de Lagrange

Tasting note

Medium, youthful purple in colour, paling towards the rim. The bouquet is fresh and of subtle to medium intensity, driven by crisp dark red fruit (sour cherry, redcurrant) with a delicate hint of blossom and a touch of dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is lively with good energy but low weight; the flavour intensity is on the lighter side, with the fruit being distinctly fresh and juicy, supported by a present acidity and soft tannin. Reminiscent in the best sense of a refreshing cherry juice, it is highly approachable though displaying limited depth and complexity, concluding with a somewhat short but pleasantly fruit-forward finish.

Drink through 2032.
