Beautiful label. Pale ruby red colour. Great nose, high intensity and very open: Redcurrants, red plums, slightly cooked, and vanilla. Spicy with notes of white pepper, too. Low acidity on the palate, soft tannins and a lean to medium body despite the high alcohol. The flavour is primarily fruity, again cooked fruit, but now more in the black fruit direction. The finish is relatively short. Part whole cluster, part whole berries, 12 months barrel aging. The rating may seem low, but this is an uncomplicated wine that is fun to drink, nicely balanced and with a good flow. In a good spot now.
Drink through 2024.
