Pale salmon in colour with a fine perlage. The nose offers medium intensity, featuring bright red fruit notes of strawberry and a touch of cherry, paired with tart undertones reminiscent of grapefruit zest; whilst slightly yeasty, the sparkling wine remains firmly on the fruit-driven side. On the palate, a vibrant, powerful mousse initially dominates, somewhat masking the first impression, but red berries - fresh strawberry in particular - soon reveal themselves once more, alongside notes of orange and grapefruit. The palate profile remains dry, underpinned by a tart edge and medium-plus acidity reminiscent of rhubarb, both of which largely define the finish, which, though relatively short, is pleasant.
The tart notes came as a surprise, but they complement the wine beautifully, providing excellent freshness for a hot day. Good.
Drink through 2027.
