2020 Salwey Oberrotweiler Weißburgunder "RS"

Tasting note

2020 Salwey Oberrotweiler Weißburgunder "RS"

Pale golden-yellow with faint traces of residual CO2 in the glass. The nose is rounded and inviting with good intensity, led by a remarkably clear, concentrated green apple character. This ripe fruit profile—strikingly fresh for its age—is balanced by nutty and white floral nuances, alongside integrated yeasty and creamy notes. On the palate, a lovely, supple creaminess is offset by fresh acidity, zesty citrus, and crisp green apple. Though the fruit spectrum is relatively focused, the wine offers notable depth and texture. The finish is of medium length, subtly nutty, with a touch of grapefruit.

Drink through 2028.
