Pale lemon colour. Exceptionally attractive on the nose. Bright, with plenty of fruit — apple, pear, apricot skin, a touch of lime — yet it's the toasted notes, reminiscent of roasted nuts, that make the wine truly interesting. There's also a hint of yeastiness. On the palate it's taut, with crisp acidity, showing more green apple and a little lemon. It comes across as lightweight, but with a lovely drive across the palate. Drier in taste than initially expected. Mouth-watering and thoroughly enjoyable, leaving you wanting more. Quite good length on the finish, with fresh lemon and apple. Clear and minimalist in style — unquestionably a very good wine for its price bracket. I like it a lot.
