2023 Bio Weingut Maier Scheurebe

Tasting note

2023 Bio Weingut Maier Scheurebe

Pale lemon yellow. Plenty of CO2 in the glass, is that how it was bottled? Restrained, yet fruity bouquet. Pear, quince, slightly citrusy aroma. Some blackcurrant. "Riesling light". The carbonic acid is clearly noticeable on the tongue and unfortunately masks the subtle fruit flavour somewhat. However, the dark cassis flavour is nice and carries the finish. Little complexity overall, for fans of fruity flavours.

Drink from 2024 through 2025.

Tasted by Dominik Müller on Thursday, 19 December 2024.
