Domainers invest in SharedReviews.com

SharedReviews.comSome of the most successful domainers, including Frank Schilling, Internet Real Estate Group and Robert Monster’s Monster Venture Partners, have invested an undisclosed amount of money in the product review site SharedReviews.com, which has been co-founded by Frank Michlick.

The idea behind SharedReviews.com is that it pays users to write product reviews. This user-generated content will then be published on related domain names in order to make the parking pages more attractive for visitors. This is similar to what other big domain portfolio owners like Marchex and Demand Media have been doing already. I think we will see a lot more targeted and original content on parked domains soon, and parking pages will be more interactive and customized. Some parking companies (e.g. TrafficZ) have already added functions for domain owners to easily add content to their domains’ parked pages. Ideally, the added usability will result in returning visitors and more revenue.
