Moniker has published the list of domain names which will be in the live domain auction in New York City next week. High-End Web Names has submitted domains for the live auction too, including Bourbon.com, Whiskey.com and Elections.com.

Mike Mann, the founder of BuyDomains.com, announced the purchase of the domain name SEO.com. After he had sold BuyDomains.com Mike Mann founded a venture capital firm called WashingtonVC. His firm has invested in some nice startups with generic domains, including HappyBirthday.com, Phone.com and Software.com.

This year’s TRAFFIC show in New York is also one of the most important events in the history of the domain industry ever, because it takes place in times that domains finally get some positive attention and press coverage in the traditional media, and investors and marketers have just begun to see the great value of generic domain names. Therefore, TRAFFIC NY will take off in the very right place, namely in the neighborhood of Wall Street and Madison Avenue.

It seems that the Government of Cameroon’s wildcard on .CM domains is no longer active. The .CM domains do not redirect to a Hitfarm parking page anymore. Instead, they do not resolve at all anymore, which means all the domain extension typo traffic gets monetized by Microsoft and Google now.
